Vol. 396 No. 9

Written Answers. - Carbury (County Kildare) Bog Dispute.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

88 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to a dispute between tenants and the Ballybegan/Clonkeen Bog Trust, Carbury, County Kildare; if he has given any indication as to the entitlements either to the trust or the tenants involved; if he will outline the rights of (a) the trust and (b) the tenants in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The management of the lands which are the subject of the dispute referred to by the Deputy is the responsibility of the trustees. The rights of the parties are set out in the trust deed.
