95 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a suckler grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This applicant has been paid his 1989 EC suckler cow scheme grant already.

96 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cattle and beef subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath.

Payments to this applicant under the 1989 calf and special beef premium schemes are being processed and will issue shortly.

97 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cattle and beef subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath.

The person named applied for grants under the 1989 special beef premium scheme only but when field staff called on him to carry out an inspection on 31 August 1989 he had sold all 12 cattle listed on his application. As it was a requirement of that scheme that he maintain those cattle until inspection, no payment can be made to him.

I expect this grant to be paid within the next few weeks.

99 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will arrange for payment of a beef premium for 1989 to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

Payment to this applicant under the 1989 special beef premium scheme has been made already. Payment to him under the 1989 calf premium scheme is being processed and will issue shortly.
