Written Answers. - County Roscommon Group Water Scheme.

Question:

162 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in having the Moore group water scheme, County Roscommon sanctioned for construction; and when it is envisaged that all grant aid, including special grant to bring it within accepted economic limits, will be notified to the promoters of this scheme.

There was no undue delay in approving this group scheme. Completed application forms in respect of total membership were only recently submitted to my Department.

The amount of grant and special contribution payable in this instance is under consideration at present and the group will be advised of the position in the near future.
