Vol. 397 No. 3

Written Answers. - Stallion Inspection Scheme.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

55 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will consider setting up an appeals system for the stallion inspection scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There is already provision for appeal in the case of stallions which fail the clinical veterinary examination.

I understand that the Horse Breeding Advisory Committee which I established in December 1989 will be examining the question of the necessity for a wider appeal system.
