Vol. 397 No. 10

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 16 and 17.

Is that agreed? Agreed.

I wish to raise one matter with the Taoiseach this morning. Could he raise with his colleagues during the course of the Summit this weekend, the growing concern in rural Ireland about the impact of both the world trade talks and possible food imports from Eastern Europe on incomes and structure of rural Ireland? Would he take the opportunity of raising that matter either in the margins of the Council or at the Council meeting?

That is not a matter for the Order of Business this morning, Deputy Bruton.

I made the request just the same.

Have the Government made a decision to reappoint a boundaries commission and, if so, when will it be announced?

The matter is under consideration. I presume the Deputy is talking about constituency boundaries.
