18 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for the Environment when he last met, as a group, the county and city managers of the country; if he had meaningful discussions with them; if the meeting provided for any meaningful exchange of views; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
My most recent meeting with the city and county managers as a group was on 7 November 1989. The meeting covered a wide range of topics and provided a very meaningful discussion and a full and helpful exchange of views.
Could the Minister state how that frequency of meeting with the city and county managers compares with the frequency of meetings over the past couple of years?
I cannot say for certain but I believe I am meeting them more often.
