90 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education if she will give details of the agreement reached for purchase of land required for Fingal Community College, Swords, County Dublin; and when she will sanction the commencement of the building of this much needed extension.
Agreement has been reached with the owners of the property which my Department wish to acquire for the Fingal Community College, Swords, County Dublin. However, the vendors require the consent of the Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests to complete the sale of the property which is the former new Borough National School. It is understood that the necessary consent has been sought by the vendors and that they hope to be able to complete the sale to my Department shortly. I will not be in a position to authorise the commencement of planning until the sale of the property has been finalised.
