Vol. 398 No. 2

Written Answers. - Higher Education Grant.

Dick Spring

Question:

40 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Education if a higher education grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The position is that on 23 February 1990 my Department approved a proposal from Kerry County Council to award a higher education grant at the category D rate, full lecture fee plus £525 maintenance, to the applicant in question.

It is understood from Kerry County Council, the body statutorily entrusted with administration of the scheme in the candidate's area, that all payments due in respect of the 1989-90 academic year have been paid.
