Vol. 398 No. 2

Written Answers. - Collooney (Sligo) By-pass.

Edward Nealon

Question:

102 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for the Environment if, in view of the fact that completion of the Collooney by-pass, County Sligo linking the Tubbercurry road with the Boyle road has been delayed for over a year because of disagreement on the span of a bridge crossing the railway line, he will take steps to have the differences between his Department and the Department of Tourism and Transport settled immediately to enable the by-pass road to be completed.

The disagreement in question is between Sligo County Council and Iarnród Éireann.

My Department is in touch with the Department of Tourism and Transport who are pursuing the matter with Iarnród Éireann with a view to having it resolved as soon as possible.
