Vol. 398 No. 5

Written Answers. - Minimum Notice Payment.

Michael Bell

Question:

57 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Labour the reason for the delay in the payment of a minimum notice payment to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and when payment will be made.

Disputes regarding entitlement to notice under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Act, 1973, should in the first instance be referred to the Employment Appeals Tribunal. I understand that the tribunal have not received a claim from the employee involved in this case. My Department will advise the employee directly of the procedure involved in making such a claim.
