Vol. 398 No. 8

Written Answers. - Fishing Permit Concessions.

Gerry O'Sullivan

Question:

26 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for the Marine if he will extend the fishing permit concessions allowed to juvenile and old age pensioners to those in receipt of invalidity pensions.

My proposals to replace trout and coarse fish angling licences with a new angling development co-operative system include provisions to exempt certain groups of people including those in receipt of invalidity pensions from any requirement to contribute to the development organisations.

My Department are at present working on the preparation of the necessary amending legislation.
