Question:73 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Finance when a refund of VAT will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.
Written Answers. - VAT Repayments.
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that two VAT repayment claims in the amount of £4,040.60 for the periods March/April 1989 and May/June 1989 in respect of the individual were repaid on 15 May 1990. A further two claims in the amount of £1,794.45 for the periods November/December 1988 and January/February 1989 will be repaid within ten days.
A claim which was received on 10 May 1990 in relation to the joinery firm, will require examination and possible audit before it can be repaid as the company has ony recently commenced business.
