Vol. 398 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Wexford Estate.

Michael Bell

Question:

92 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason his Department has refused to notify the representatives of the estate of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford of the interest to the funds from the date that the Land Commission took possession of her lands until her death which occurred in 1977; the reason this information was not provided; the interest and money due from the land bonds; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has been in communication for a number of years with the solicitors acting in this case with a view to establishing title to the estate prior to the distribution of the purchase money. So far this has not been done. The amount standing to the credit of the estate as at present is £11,945.
