Vol. 398 No. 10

Written Answers. - Housing Estate Completion.

John Bruton

Question:

178 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment if he recently issued a circular to local authorities similar to that issued on 19 November 1979 seeking information on intractable problems in the completion of housing estates; and, if so, the date and the outcome.

The last circular letter issued to planning authorities by my Department about unfinished housing estates was on 29 May 1987.

Legislative provisions relevant to this matter have been incorporated in paragraphs 29 and 30 of the Fourth Schedule to the Local Government (Planning and Development) (No. 2) Bill, 1988, as passed by Dáil Éireann.
