Question:184 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment the percentage increase in the length of Irish road networks since 1960; and if he is in a position to forecast the percentage increase by the end of this decade.
Written Answers. - Roads Network Increase.
Since 1960, it is estimated that the total length of the network of public roads has increased by 14.4 per cent.
It is not possible to forecast accurately the percentage increase in the network by the end of this decade.
