Vol. 398 No. 10

Written Answers. - Access Facilities for Disabled Persons.

John Bruton

Question:

203 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Health if he will outline, in respect of each State body for which he is statutorily responsible, the public buildings where easy access facilities such as ramps, lifts or otherwise for persons using wheelchairs do not exist; the services provided in the buildings; and the plans to improve accessibility thereto.

The information sought by the Deputy is not readily available in my Department. Having regard to the great number of buildings throughout the country which are utilised by health boards and other health agencies and which come within the ambit of the Deputy's question it is not feasible in the time available to provide the information sought.
