Question:76 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Finance the steps which are being taken by his Department to maximise the resources available to Irish film distributors and producers under the Media 92 programme.

Media 92 is a European Community programme. In implementing it the Commission deal, directly with distributors and producers in each member state. I understand that the Department of the Taoiseach has been actively supporting the programme through the Cultural Affairs Committee of the Community and through the Council of Ministers responsible for culture.
