Written Answers. - Western Electrification.

Séamus Pattison

Question:

59 Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Energy if he will outline his plans for western electrification in 1990; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It is estimated that electricity supply will be provided to approximately 1,100 farms throughout the less favoured areas of Ireland in 1990 under the western package electrification scheme at a total cost of £2.567 million, 80 per cent of this, i.e. £2,054 million, will be provided from State/EC funds.
