Question:121 Mr. J. Fahey asked the Minister for Justice the up to date position regarding the land registration of persons (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when registration will be completed.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the application referred to is for registration of an exchange of parts of properties, which was lodged in the Land Registry on 9 March 1990. There is a delay at present in dealing with applications of this nature but it will be attended as soon as possible.
It is the policy of the Land Registry to try, as far as possible, to expedite cases in which it can be established that special circumstances of urgency exist and any such case will be specially considered if details of the reasons for urgency are submitted to the registrar.
