Vol. 399 No. 3

Written Answers. - Ordnance Survey Office.

Patrick McCartan

Question:

57 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to proposals by the Ordnance Survey Office to produce a new tourist map at a scale of 1:50,000; if he supports this decision; if adequate staff will be made available to ensure that this task will be undertaken without disrupting the proper work and management of the office; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I would direct the Deputy to the statement made in Seanad Éireann on 14 March 1990 which comprehensively explained the present situation in the Ordnance Survey Office, including the position in relation to the 1:50,000 series.
