86 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the proposed new community school at Rathmore, County Kerry; if a site is available; the number of students for which this new school is being planned; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
A suitable site has been identified for the proposed community school at Rathmore for which architectural planning has now reached stage two, outline sketch scheme, of my Department's design team procedures.
Following a recent review of the demographic trends in the area, it has been decided that the projected pupil enrolments to be catered for are 400 in the short term and 300 in the long term.
