Vol. 399 No. 7

Written Answers. - Communications Facilities for Handicapped.

Séamus Pattison

Question:

25 Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Health if he has any plans to improve the range of communications facilities available to blind and deaf people; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am currently awaiting the submission of plans from the National Council for the Blind and the National Association for the Deaf on the development of services for blind and deaf people, respectively. I will be considering improvements in communications facilities in the context of discussions on these plans between my Department and the organisations concerned.
