38 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education if she will outline her views on the Educate Together Charter; and the arrangements she will make to ensure that free school transport is available to children attending multi-denominational schools with effect from 1 September 1990.
In regard to school transport I am happy to say that my Department have recently communicated to school authorities of multi-denominational schools details of new arrangements which will be effective from September next.
The Educate Together Charter was recently presented to me when I attended their annual conference meeting in Galway. I will be giving the matter my most fullest consideration.
