Question:155 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Education if her Department will provide a teacher for a class of handicapped children in the Belmullet area of County Mayo (details supplied).

Should an application for the establishment of the class in question be received from the board of management of a national school in the area it will receive careful consideration in my Department subject to the usual conditions that apply as regards minimum pupil numbers and availability of suitable accommodation.
