Question:

164 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport if the Deed of Trust in respect of Connaught International Airport, County Mayo, involves payment of monetary sums to present members of the airport board; if so, the amount of money involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 33 and 164 together.

The board of the Connaught Airport Development Company Limited have agreed to the terms of the draft Deed of Trust. The board are arranging for the completion of certain formalities related to the finalisation of the Deed of Trust and as soon as these have been settled it will be possible for the board and myself to complete the Deed.

There is no provision in the draft Deed of Trust for any payment to members of the airport board.
