Question:

26 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Defence if he intends to take steps to improve liaison between the FCA and employers, especially in view of the fact that some employers are refusing official requests for leave to attend training camps; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The military authorities have indicated that they are not aware that members of the FCA are experiencing any difficulty in obtaining leave from their employers to attend training camps. If the Deputy has any particular case in mind, perhaps he would let me know and I will have the matter investigated.
