Vol. 400 No. 2

Written Answers. - Malahide Hydrographic Survey.

Seán Ryan

Question:

71 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for the Marine if any hydrological survey has been carried out in relation to the construction of the marina and ancillary works on an area of the foreshore at Malahide Estuary, County Dublin.

I presume that the Deputy is referring to a hydrographic survey. The position is that a hydrographic survey was incorporated as a supplement to the environmental impact statement prepared by the promoter in connection with the applications for planning permission and foreshore licences for this project. My Department are at present considering the application for a foreshore licence and the hydrographic data will be considered in that connection.
