Vol. 400 No. 6

Written Answers. - Income Forms Return.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

32 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance, having regard to his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 44 of 14 June 1990, the reason no response was received in respect of return of income forms which were submitted to the Revenue Commissioners in November 1989 in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no trace of receipt of the return of income forms submitted in November 1989. The inspector issued a further return of income form to the taxpayer on 22 June 1990. On receipt of this form, duly completed, the inspector will be in a position to deal with the taxpayer's claim to a refund of tax.
