49 Mr. S. Barrett asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline the recommendations or findings of the report on the bread industry carried out by the Irish Productivity Centre; the action he intends taking based on the report; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The Irish Productivity Centre report mentioned by the Deputy was commissioned by the sectoral development committee and will form the basis of a report by that committee which will be laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas and published shortly. Until such time as the report is published by the sectoral development committee, it would not be proper for me to disclose its contents.
