Vol. 401 No. 4

Written Answers. - Ballyjamesduff (Cavan) Waste Treatment Scheme.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

213 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment if Cavan County Council has submitted plans to upgrade the treatment works at Ballyjamesduff; and when it is expected that the work will be undertaken and completed.

Proposals in respect of the scheme referred to are awaited from Cavan County Council. The provision of a modern treatment system in Ballyjamesduff is urgently required and I expect the council to develop proposals as a matter of urgency with a view to getting to construction at the earliest possible date.
