In accordance with the resolution of the House of 25 October 1990 I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given to me under Standing Orders 23 (a) and the name of the Member in each case: Deputy Michael Ferris — the reason for the non-payment of Christmas bonuses to workers on social employment schemes; Deputy Gerry O'Sullivan — subject matter of leaked report regarding the unsuitability of fishery patrol boats; Deputy Michael D. Higgins — proposed action that the Government will take in relation to the threat of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia and the likely Irish voting intentions; Deputy Seán Ryan — the redesignation of certain units at St. Ita's Hospital in Portrane County Dublin; Deputy Eamon Gilmore — the long lists of public patients awaiting heart by-pass operations; Deputy Pat Rabbitte — the protest organised for tomorrow regarding the crisis in the mental handicap services and the scandal at Cheeverstown House.

I have selected for discussion the matters raised by the following Deputies: Deputy Gerry O'Sullivan, Deputy Eamon Gilmore and Deputy Seán Ryan.
