123 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Justice if he will investigate and outline the circumstances surrounding the cancellation of an operation on a perforated eardrum of a person (details supplied) at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9, on 4 October 1990; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The operation referred to, on a prisoner, was rescheduled by the hospital for medical reasons. The operation was carried out at a later date.
