Question:70 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the acreage of land bought by non-nationals in each of the years from 1980 to 1989.
Written Answers. - Purchase of Land.
As consent under Section 45 of the Land Act, 1965, is not required for the purchase of land by EC nationals who are exercising the right of establishment or non-nationals who are purchasing less than two hectares for private residential purposes, a complete record of all the land purchased by non-nationals is not available.
The following are particulars of land purchased by non-nationals in the years 1980-88 where consent under the Land Act, 1965, has been given:
