Vol. 403 No. 4

Written Answers. - Crowd Control and Public Safety Committee Report.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

227 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if she intends bringing forward legislation to put in place the recommendations of the special committee on crowd control and public safety; and if so, when.

Arising from the Report of the Committee on Public Safety and Crowd Control the Government have decided that the Minister of State at my Department should co-ordinate the response of other Government Departments in implementing the recommendations contained in the report and giving effect to any necessary legislative changes.

Pending full consideration of these matters by the Minister of State I am not in a position to say when any necessary legislation will be proposed.
