Vol. 403 No. 4

Written Answers. - Cuffesgrange (Kilkenny) School Improvements.

Phil Hogan

Question:

252 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on improvements to Cuffesgrange national school, County Kilkenny; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

On 19 November 1990 my Department's professional advisers in the district Office of Public Works sent sketch plans for an improvement scheme at Church Hill (Cuffesgrange) national school, County Kilkenny, to the school authorities to enable them to apply for planning permission. When this has been received and examined the local architect will put the preparation of tender documents in hands which will be completed at the earliest possible date. The question of the invitation of tenders for the project will then arise for consideration in the context of the available capital.

I am not in a position, at this stage, to say when building works might commence.
