Vol. 403 No. 4

Written Answers. - Celbridge (County Kildare) School.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

277 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education if she received a request from the Archbishop of Dublin to disband the board of management of Scoil Mochua, Celbridge, County Kildare; when she received this request; and the reason she agreed to accede to the request.

The Patron of Scoil Mochua, Celbridge sought my approval to appoint another manager for the school, at the end of August.

On 14 September, following detailed legal advice, the process of enrolment having been concluded and having been aware that the process for replacing boards of management on completion of their normal term of three years was already under way, I gave my approval.
