18 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport if his Department are considering a plan to extend the DART system from the Howth line to Dublin Airport; the stage consideration of this plan is at; when a decision will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
At present CIE and Aer Rianta are carrying out, at my request, a joint study of the feasibility of a rail link between CIE's suburban network and Dublin Airport. I understand that the feasibility study is expected to be completed in the near future after which further consideration will be given to the matter by my Department.
