I have not, as yet, made an official visit to Moscow in my capacity as Minister for Foreign Affairs. I have, however, met my counterpart, the Soviet Foreign Minister, Mr. Shevardnadze, on a number of occasions, most recently at the CSCE Summit meeting in Paris.
The question of an official visit by me to the Soviet Union is at present under active consideration, and I would hope to provide the House with further information on the subject in due course.
