Vol. 403 No. 8

Written Answers. - Tax Reform.

Eric J. Byrne

Question:

51 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline the Government's plans for tax reform in 1991; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

As the Deputy knows, it is not the practice for the Minister for Finance to disclose in advance details of any tax changes which are likely to be included in the annual budget.

I would draw the Deputy's attention to my statement made to the House in response to a similar question from Deputy Pat McCartan recently. I have nothing further to add to that statement at this point.
