Vol. 403 No. 8

Written Answers. - VAT at Point of Entry.

Michael Noonan

Question:

82 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Finance the estimated yield to the Exchequer in 1990 in respect of VAT at the point of entry.

If VAT at the point of entry had been abolished on 1 January 1990 the estimated once-off cash flow cost to the Exchequer would have been £250 million.
