Vol. 403 No. 9

Written Answers. - Costs to Land Registry.

Jim O'Keeffe

Question:

62 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice the total cost to the Land Registry in damages, interest and legal costs of all parties arising from the decision of the High Court in a case (details supplied).

By order of the High Court compensation in the amount of £77,781 together with interest and all costs incurred was awarded to the applicant in this case.

Costs have not been agreed and an application to the High Court for directions as to taxation and payment of costs of the applicant is pending. Accordingly, the total amount payable in respect of interest and costs cannot be determined at this stage.
