74 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Labour (a) the funds (b) the resources and (c) the ideas or other support he plans to contribute towards the effort of Dublin as the European Community cultural capital for 1991; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I fully support the important work being undertaken to ensure that Dublin's year as the European Community's cultural capital for 1991 is a success. I have encouraged FÁS, which operates under the aegis of my Department to support a wide range of activities to this end, through its employment and training schemes. Details of the measures would of course come under the heading of FÁS day-to-day activities and I would suggest that the Deputy contact FÁS direct in the matter.
