Vol. 403 No. 10

Written Answers. - Dundalk School Improvements.

Dermot Ahern

Question:

132 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding the application of Redeemer national school, Dundalk, County Louth, for funding to carry out changes to the structure of the school to allow it to adapt to its changing needs; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The question of a suitable scheme of works for the Redeemer national school, Dundalk, is being considered in the context of the available capital and the enrolments which have fallen considerably in recent years. Officials from my Department have arranged to meet the school authorities this week to discuss the matter further and I will advise the Deputy when there have been definite developments in this regard.
