Vol. 404 No. 1

Written Answers. - Third Level Grants.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

214 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that there is no third level grant available for students pursuing an accounting technician course; if she intends including the course under the grant schemes available from her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Higher education and European Social Fund grants are available to students who have made application for and have been accepted on approved courses in third level institutions. Students pursuing an accounting technician course other than at an approved third level institution are not eligible for the award of a third level grant.
