Vol. 404 No. 4

Written Answers. - Tax Liability.

Ivan Yates

Question:

133 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline the correct rate of tax liability of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who is a participant in the social employment scheme of Wexford County Council.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a certificates of tax-free allowances will issue to the taxpayer today granting him an allowance of £820. This allowance is lower than usual because all other allowances have been allocated to the taxpayer's wife. Any tax overdeducted will be refunded by his employer on operation of this certificate.
