Vol. 404 No. 5

Written Answers. - Tax Rebate.

Chris Flood

Question:

36 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for Finance when a tax rebate will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that no rebate of tax is due in this case. A review of the taxpayer's liability to tax for the years 1988-89 and 1989-90 has been carried out by the inspector of taxes. This resulted in an underpayment of £620.98 for the year 1988-89 and an overpayment of £101.79 for the year 1989-90. Thus, the taxpayer has a liability of £519.19 and the inspector of taxes has written to him in this regard.
