Question:56 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he proposes to introduce new legislation to ban the increasing practice of Sunday trading.

I have no proposals at present to amend the current legislation governing the opening hours of retail shops and businesses which permits Sunday trading. The matter will continue to be kept under review.
