Question:

72 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Health if he will list the nurse training schools in the State; and the number of trainees in each year at each school at the present time.

The nurse training schools funded by my Department which provide courses leading to basic registration in one of the divisions of the register maintained by An Bord Altranais are as follows:

General Nursing
Mater Hospital, Dublin.
St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin.
Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.
St. James's Hospital, Dublin.
Meath/Adelaide Hospitals, Dublin.
Our Lady of Lourdes, Drogheda.

The detailed information requested by the Deputy in relation to the number of students in each school at present is not readily available. I will, however, have the information compiled and forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
