Question:183 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the provision of a new national school at Clogh, County Kilkenny.
Vol. 404 No. 7
183 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the provision of a new national school at Clogh, County Kilkenny.
I have approved the provision of a new national school building at Clogh, County Kilkenny which will contain four classrooms, a staff room, library/medical room and various stores.
On 22 November 1990 officials from my Department discussed the whole matter with the school authorities and I have arranged for an architect to inspect the site at the earliest possible date preparatory to putting the planning for the project in hands. Because there are a number of factors outside the control of my Department in relation to a project like this, such as clearance of title etc., I am not in a position, at this stage, to say when building works will commence.
