Question:235 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if all the necessary land has been acquired for the proposed national indoor sports centre; and when construction work is due to begin.

The Custom House Dock Development Authority who are my Department's development agent for the project have either acquired or agreed terms for approximately 90 per cent of the site and negotiations are ongoing for the acquisition of the remainder.
It is expected that construction work will commence in early 1992.
